Twelve comics, one room, six minutes each. Host D. Marquez opens. Sign-up sheet goes out at 8pm sharp and yes, there is a wait-list. Get there at 8:45 if you want a seat.
Storyteller. Long set-ups, longer punchlines.
Crowd work. Prepare to be roasted.
Resident host. Has heard your joke before.
Deadpan. Will pause until you laugh.
Music & comedy. Brings a guitar half the time.

Open mic is open. New comics get the same six minutes as anyone else. We're not gentle but we're fair, and there's a decent crowd in the room by 9:15.
Sign-up sheet lives on the bar. First-come, first-served. We pull 12 names total.

The basement at Marlow's on 4th Street. Eighty chairs, a two-drink minimum at the bar, and a no-phones rule that we actually enforce. The exposed brick is real; the comedy might be.
